Coronavirus latest: Psychic predicts COVID-19 epidemic will be over by spring

CORONAVIRUS and the COVID-19 epidemic will be gone for good by the time the first spring Sun rises over Europe, a Polish psychic has astonishingly claimed.

The coronavirus has so far infected more than 94,000 people and killed at least 3,214. But psychic Krzysztof Jackowski believes the epidemic will blow over in less than three weeks.

Speaking to Super Express, the psychic said Europe will be mostly spared from the viral threat.

His claims come despite Italy suffering the third biggest coronavirus outbreak outside of mainland China, right after Iran and South Korea.

More than 2,500 people in Italy have been tested positive for COVID-19 in recent days and the virus is making its way across the continent.

At least 85 people have been infected in the UK and Poland has confirmed its first COVID-19 infection today (March 4).

Mr Jackowski said: “It does not threaten us. What’s more, it won’t have an effect on Poland and Europe.

“I hope I am not wrong and these are the last death throes of the coronavirus.

“It will vanish with the first rays of the spring sun, and when it gets warmer, it will truly all be over.”

Despite the psychic’s assurance, there is no sign the novel coronavirus strain has any intention of stopping just yet.

The virus first appeared in China’s Wuhan City last December and has since infected people on virtually every continent.

Outside of mainland China, the biggest coronavirus outbreak is in South Korea where at least 5,621 people have fallen ill.

A second large outbreak has fallen on Iran, where nearly 3,000 people have already tested positive for COVID-19.

And contrary to Mr Jackowki’s claims Europe will be spared the epidemic, thousands of people have already fallen ill.

On Wednesday, March 4, more than 200 people were confirmed infected in Germany and France, and at least 193 were ill in Spain.

Coronavirus infections are also being treated in Switzerland, the Netherlands, Sweden, Belgium, Iceland, Austria, Croatia, Greece, Finland, Belarus and the Czech Republic.

The World Health Organization (WHO) is tackling the epidemic as a global emergency.

But the good news is health authorities are confident the novel virus can be contained, unlike more virulent pathogens like the influenza virus.

WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on Tuesday: “This virus is not SARS, it’s not MERS, and it’s not influenza.

“It is a unique virus with unique characteristics.”

He added: “We don’t even talk about containment for seasonal flu – it’s just not possible.

“But it is possible for COVID-19. We don’t do contact-tracing for seasonal flu — but countries should do it for COVID-19 because it will prevent infections and save lives. Containment is possible.”

The novel coronavirus attacks the respiratory system to inflict flu-like symptoms that can develop into pneumonia.

Officials believe the virus is most dangerous among the elderly and patients with underlying health conditions.
