Forks aren’t just for food – hidden functions blow minds

We use forks every day to eat our meals, but it turns out they can be handy for many other things.

A fork is something we use every day.

After all, eating is one of our favourite things to do, and we couldn’t carry out the task without a fork in hand. But, little you may know, the humble fork has many other uses – and you’ll be stunned to find out just how much it can do.

A video, shared by tipshacks.us, has gone viral on TikTok after stunning people with some pretty wild facts. It turns out you can use a fork for a lot more than chomping down food, and it’s left people gobmacked.

In the clip, the presenter states you’d have to have lived for 300 years to know just how many different ways a fork can be used. For example, it can be used to fix a zipper if it comes off your jacket.

When you look at it, it seems simple, but many people never knew it was possible. It was the first nifty life hack the video exposed.

It can also be used as a bottle opener. If you twist a screw into the cork, you can then use a fork to pull out the wine stopper with ease.

Slicing spring onions can also be made a lot easier by using a fork. It turns out, all you need to do is run a fork along it to divide it into strands.

Meanwhile, if you gently press a fork into a garlic clove, it will remove them easily without any fuss. You can then use it to crush each clove down to little pieces.

It can also be used to pull leaves evenly off herbs and veggies when you’re cooking. When it comes to onions, you can insert a fork either side to ensure you slice it evenly.

Not to mention, it can also be used to clean. In the video, the presenter pops a cloth over a fork and uses the handmade gadget to dust hard-to-reach places in their car.
