Hormonal changes during ovulation often make women view adventurers and adventurers differently. For some reason, at this time, women see them as reliable family men.
Why does this happen? Why do women succumb to the dangerous allure of “bad boys” so much more intensely once a month? Even subconsciously, they must understand that if a man acts like James Bond, he'll never be a reliable husband or father. A small fling and a fleeting infatuation are the most one can hope for in a relationship with such a man. However, women often become simply infatuated with this type of man and try their best to tie him down to marriage.
Researchers set out to discover the cause of this phenomenon. They ultimately came up with a rather intriguing explanation, rooted in the very nature of women. It turns out that during ovulation, women become less rational and more prone to risky behavior. The scientists believe this is due to hormonal changes that occur in women during the final stages of egg maturation. It's during this time that women become indiscriminate in choosing a father for their child. Often, their perception of men who are unreliable in their relationships becomes completely different.
Researchers from the University of Texas at San Antonio in the United States conducted an experiment in which they showed women at different stages of their menstrual cycle photographs of men. Some of the photos depicted men who were obviously adventurous and adventurous, while others depicted men who represented the image of reliable family fathers. From these photographs, the women were asked to choose the men they believed would make caring fathers and attentive husbands. Moreover, those women who were ovulating tended to prefer the obvious “playboys.”
The experiment was repeated, this time replacing the photographs with live actors. The actors portrayed various male characters, and the women rated each of them as being suitable for the role of father. The researchers also noted a curious detail: the women quite logically mentioned the shortcomings of men they considered unreliable and their unsuitability for long-term relationships, but only if the situation didn't affect them. In other words, ovulation didn't prevent the women from giving their friends helpful advice and dissuading them from unwise actions. But as soon as they found themselves in the presence of adventurers, everything changed in their minds.
It's long been known that during ovulation, when the chances of becoming pregnant are very high, hormonal changes force women to abandon long-term relationship planning and rush to pursue the possibility of procreation. At the same time, women's psychology and other personality traits also change. All of this occurs under the influence of hormones. Therefore, women should keep in mind that they should avoid attractive, handsome men during certain periods of their menstrual cycle.
