But if sex is so beneficial to health, why do people so often give it up? There are a number of reasons. Psychological: numerous insecurities stemming from adolescence and prejudices acquired during upbringing often stand in the way of a fulfilling sex life. Medical: health problems inevitably lead to sexual problems. Others include physical fatigue due to an “overly active” lifestyle, lack of time, the absence of a suitable sexual partner at the moment, and much more.
