You shouldn't eat sweets before sex.

Irish scientists have found that men with a sweet tooth are at risk of impotence. Their study shows that sweets lower testosterone levels in men's blood.

Participants in the experiment were asked to drink a glass of sugar-sweetened water containing 75 grams of glucose. Before and after drinking the sugary drink, all volunteers' testosterone levels were measured. Testosterone levels were found to be reduced by 25% after drinking the drink. In 99% of men, the negative effect persisted even two hours after drinking the sugary water.

The hormone testosterone naturally regulates male sexual activity. Testosterone levels stimulate libido, erectile function, and control ejaculation and orgasm.
