Fashioned from denim, these trousers boast a rich, lengthy history. Denim served as the customary material utilized in work attire, with the inaugural pair of jeans – similar to the ones we cherish today – conceived by an American tailor named Jacob Davis, in conjunction with dry goods wholesaler Levi Strauss, who furnished him with the material to produce them. Presently, jeans are available in a spectrum of fits, shades, and designs, from mom jeans, high-waisted, bootcut, and flared, to wide-leg, skinny, distressed, and beyond. The Levi’s website states: “It’s worth mentioning that they were referred to as ‘waist overalls’ or simply ‘overalls’ until 1960, when baby boomers embraced the term ‘jeans’.”
