Luka Doncic is facing significant criticism despite his injury. Ric Flair, surprisingly, is among those who are fed up with Luka sidelined and wants him to participate.

I have a fondness for minor league sports, and a part of that enjoyment stems from the unpredictable nature where a simple game attendance can unexpectedly plunge you into a surreal experience.

Consider this example: Ronald McDonald performing the national anthem at a minor league baseball game.

The Charlotte Knights hosted the fast-food icon, and while we are accustomed to seeing Ronald promote burgers, it appears his vocal talents are as impressive as the golden arches he embodies.

I’ve always had a mild aversion to clowns, but Ronald never bothered me. Perhaps it’s because I don’t fear he’ll douse me with seltzer, shock me with an electric joy buzzer, or abduct me into a van for organ harvesting.

No, that clown, smeared with grease, merely desires for me to consume a cheeseburger. A burger that will likely render me incapacitated for the remainder of the day.

That, in my opinion, makes him perfectly acceptable.

Although this event occurred a few days prior, the video gained widespread attention later in the week. This surge in popularity is largely due to a clip that perfectly captures the moment of revelation when it’s discovered that the national anthem performance is being handled by the country’s most prominent fast-food clown.

It’s heartening to witness the McDonaldland characters making a significant comeback, thanks to the sport of baseball.

First, we saw Grimace contribute to a winning streak for the Mets a couple of years ago with his remarkable first pitch (perhaps it’s time to bring him back). Now, we have Ronald performing like Pavarotti in his prime. It’s conceivable that next, we’ll see the Hamburglar crooning “Take Me Out To The Ball Game” or Officer Big Mac expertly balancing bowls on his large, sesame-seed-adorned head while performing a unicycle act reminiscent of the Red Panda.

At this juncture, no possibility is too far-fetched.

Indeed, it seems inevitable that Mayor McCheese will eventually assume the roles of General Manager and President of Baseball Operations.
