Over 50 Helmets from World Wars I and II Found in Poland

These German, Polish and Soviet helmets, discovered just a few steps from the Institute of Archaeology at the University of Wroclaw, span a period of several decades.

Most of the helmets were German M35 and M42 models, which were used both before and during World War II. Among the German helmets were also two M38 Luftschutz helmets, designed to protect against air attacks. In addition, one Polish W31 helmet and one Soviet SSz36 were found at the site.
