There are many weird and wonderful humanoid robots out there, but one of the most remarkable devices unveiled this year is a machine that can change its own battery, allowing it to operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The Walker S2 robot, created by Chinese company UBTECH, stands 5 feet 3 inches (162 centimeters) tall and weighs 95 pounds (43 kilograms), which is about the same height as a short adult.

Powered by a 48-volt lithium battery in a dual-battery system, this robot can move for two hours or stay in place for four hours before needing to be recharged. A full battery charge takes 90 minutes.
