Earthlings were warned about a possible magnetic storm as early as October 10.

Then TASS, citing information received from specialists at the Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Solar-Terrestrial Physics of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences, wrote that a coronal hole on the Sun would begin to affect the Earth on October 12, which was fraught with the risk of a magnetic storm.

Experts believed that the coronal hole's impact on Earth would begin a little earlier than expected – on Sunday afternoon.

According to the latest forecast, minor disturbances in the planet's magnetic field are expected. Apparently, scientists' predictions are beginning to come true.

It is also specified that the stream of charged particles from the Sun will affect the Earth for approximately two days, until October 14.
