Experts said that assessing a person’s brainpower was down to more than IQ.
Scientists have revealed four questions that can determine your intelligence levels. Two science YouTubers Mitch Moffit, a biologist, and Greg Brown, a science teacher, have shared intelligence tests on their channel AsapSCIENCE, can you solve them all?
Experts said that assessing a person’s brainpower was down to more than IQ. In the video, which has been viewed over three million times, the experts have highlighted several ways such as emotional, musical, and visual intelligence, reports Mail Online.
In the first test, the experts challenge you to determine the emotion from the face of the man. They asked if it was a) embarrassment; b) sadness; c) amusement; or d) shame.
This test was based on emotional intelligence which helps to assess a person’s ability to empathise and communicate effectively with others.
The second question is an example of one which would be on a standard IQ test. These tests generally assess various cognitive abilities, such as logical reasoning, pattern recognition, and problem-solving. This is combined with a person’s age to determine their final IQ score.

According to Mr Moffit and Mr Brown, IQ tests are not the sole indicator of intelligence. In one example IQ question, you’re asked to identify the next image in a series of shapes from a selection of eight options.
The correct answer is 5 – the square with the solid black rectangle moving diagonally through it.
The next question observes musical-rhythmic intelligence which is an alternative form of intelligence that researchers are exploring. To understand the question, play the video and go directly to 1 minute and 27 seconds. Ensure to pause after the third song to avoid revealing the answers below.
If you haven’t observed it yet, song 3 is off in terms of pitch

The fourth and final question assesses visual intelligence. This question involves memorising a sequence of complex shapes, known as “ziggerins.”
Study the image below for 20 seconds, then move the slider to the right and identify which of the three shapes appeared in the original sequence. The right-most ziggerins is the one that appeared in the previous image.
Mr Moffit notes that individuals with high visual intelligence scores may not necessarily perform as well on traditional IQ tests but often excel in specialised tasks.
He said: “This could indicate a strong aptitude for tasks like fingerprint matching, analyzing medical X-rays, or tracking aircraft on radar displays.”
