On Monday morning, SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket carrying more than two dozen Starlink satellites from the Space Force's iconic Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida.
The rocket lifted off at 12:00 p.m. ET from Pad 40.
Backup capacity was available until 1:59 a.m. but was not needed.
The mission's goal is to place 27 Starlink satellites in low Earth orbit, where they will connect with thousands of other satellites to provide high-speed, low-latency internet around the world.
The first stage of the launch vehicle, which completed its 27th flight, returned to Earth, landing on the unmanned Just Read the Instructions ship, which was waiting for its return in the Atlantic Ocean.
