SpaceX has successfully launched 23 Starlink satellites into orbit from Florida on the first launch of its new Falcon 9 rocket.
On Wednesday morning, SpaceX confirmed that the satellites had been launched into low Earth orbit, after which the booster landed on an unmanned SpaceX ship in the Atlantic Ocean.
The launch was scheduled for Monday, but the rocket automatically stopped its countdown two minutes and 28 seconds before liftoff. The reasons for the cancellation remain unclear, and SpaceX has not provided an explanation.
The mission marked the first flight for the B1095 first stage, marking only the fourth time SpaceX has used its new booster in 2025 and an exception as the company typically prefers to reuse its engines.
Tuesday's launch was the 60th Falcon 9 mission of 2025 and the 43rd to deliver Starlink satellites. Its payload included 13 satellites with Direct to Cell capabilities that help eliminate mobile dead zones that exist around the world.
