Patient: 52-year-old man from the United States.

Symptoms: The patient came to the outpatient clinic after noticing a change in his usual migraine symptoms. Over the past four months, his medications had stopped working, and his attacks were occurring more frequently than usual—about once a week—and were becoming more severe. He also reported increased pain in the back of his head.

What happened next: Doctors checked the man's vital signs, which were normal. They also performed a CT scan of his brain, which revealed numerous cysts scattered across both hemispheres. Specifically, these growths were found in the organ's white matter — the isolated wires that extend from neurons.
