SpaceX Rockets Soar from Both Shores, Matches Flight Record

Sunday saw SpaceX deploy two Falcon 9 rockets from opposing shorelines, delivering a collective 56 satellites to a low orbital altitude, augmenting the expanding Starlink commercial array.

The initial liftoff transpired at 1:39 p.m. EDT from Cape Canaveral.

Space Force base, while the second occurred from Vandenberg Space Force installation in California at 12:24 p.m. PDT.

The initial launch signified the 31st instance of the primary stage rocket booster being utilized to fuel a Falcon 9 ascent.

Roughly eight minutes post-launch, it made its way back to the robotic ship “A Shortfall of Gravitas,” situated in the Atlantic.

The subsequent deployment also went as planned. Upon detaching from the payload, the primary stage rocket booster came back to the robotic vessel, “Of course I still Love You,” located in the Pacific, about eight minutes following the launch.

With these Sunday launches, Spacex’ equaled a record for the complete count of Falcon 9 endeavors for this year, reaching 132.
