Is 50 the happiest age for a woman?

Scientists believe that after reaching this age, women begin to enjoy sex more, as well as family relationships and well-being, writes KP, citing a survey of 1,500 people aged 20-65.

It turns out that almost half (49%) of women feel much happier after they turn 50.

More than a quarter of respondents say they now experience much greater pleasure from lovemaking. One in five has sexual intercourse at least once a week—comparable to the rates of 20-year-old women.

Moreover, researchers claim that many women over 50 are more active and adventurous than younger women, and this is also supported by survey data: 42% of adult women began going to the gym or taking aerobic classes in the past year, and 23% planned to take up sports in 2013; among 20-year-old women, only 16% had such good intentions.

In the group of unmarried or divorced women over 50, 11% use dating sites, while in the category of girls over 20 who suffer from loneliness, only 15% try to find their soulmate online.

Almost 50% of married mature women admitted that the quality of their sexual relationships with their partners improved after turning 50. Interestingly, half of the women in this age group visit sex shops and seek out sexy lingerie.

Ninety-three percent of respondents openly admit that their behavior violates the values and traditions passed down to them by their mothers. Modern women are confident that today they are no longer obligated to be mere grandmothers, babysitting their grandchildren and knitting socks. At the same time, 64% feel close and connected to their daughters and consider their grown children their friends.

The overwhelming majority (85%) of respondents say they would like to see a more successful and active image of a woman over 50 in film and the media.
