Having sex stimulates the growth of nerve tissue, which is responsible for high memory performance.
Canadian experts have identified another positive benefit of regular sex. Frequent sex, it turns out, has a significant positive effect on memory.
Researchers from McGill University conducted an experiment involving 78 women aged 18 to 29. Using a special computer program, the researchers showed all the volunteers a series of random portraits and words, completely unrelated. All subjects were then asked to recall what they had seen. Those who had regular sex performed admirably. However, the others struggled with the task: women who rarely had sex were unable to recall most of the information they had seen.
According to experts, sexual intercourse has a positive effect on neurogenesis in the hippocampus. In other words, it stimulates the growth of nerve tissue, which is responsible for high-performance memory. Neurotransmitters and pleasure hormones released during sex directly participate in transmitting signals to the brain, significantly enhancing this process. Therefore, experts strongly recommend making every effort to improve your intimate life—a strong memory and excellent overall well-being will follow.
