Patient: 60-year-old man from Istanbul.
Symptoms: The patient presented to the medical facility after suffering from hiccups for three days.
What happened next: Doctors in the hospital's neurology department examined the patient and performed an MRI of his head. No abnormalities were found in his brain, and other than the hiccups that continued during the MRI, there were no other symptoms. He was then transferred to the internal medicine department, where specialists conducted additional tests and found that the man's temperature, oxygen levels, heart rate, and breathing rate were all normal. Blood tests showed no signs of influenza or respiratory syncytial virus (RSV).
