Stabbed man crawls on floor with knife in back after row at UK party

WARNING, HARD CONTENT: The victim was seen crawling across the stone floor with the handle of a large knife protruding from her back.

After a brutal stabbing outside a homeless shelter in the Canary Islands, the victim was seen crawling on the floor of a nearby bar with the butt of the weapon still lodged between his shoulder blades.

Footage from the scene shows a man wearing a grey hoodie and denim shorts lying on the polished stone floor of the bar.

The victim, a 64-year-old Pole, appeared to know his attacker. Police in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, believe the two men had gotten into an argument when they met on their way to a refreshment point to get something to eat.

Emergency services were called to the scene and paramedics provided first aid to the man at the scene. The shocking incident occurred around 10 a.m. on Sunday, March 30, local news portal NeedToKnow reports.

After receiving treatment at the scene, the victim was taken to a local hospital in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, where he underwent emergency surgery.

Meanwhile, the attacker reportedly fled the scene before emergency services arrived, but about two hours later the 44-year-old man turned himself in to a local police station and confessed to the crime.

The stabbing was the third incident in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria in March alone. The city also saw a violent fight between two men last month, with at least one of them reportedly wielding a machete.

Citing a number of major incidents in recent weeks, local police have warned of a general “increase in instability” in the Canary Islands, which host more than six million British tourists each year.

One of the dramatic events cited by police was an attempted armed robbery of an armored bank truck in Las Palmas on March 16 that resulted in a shootout between officers and six suspects.

The armed robbers were later cornered in the La Paterna area and arrested.

Around 800 kilograms of hashish heading to Gran Canaria from Morocco were intercepted by Lanzarote police last week, the result of a months-long investigation.

The National Police, together with the Santa Cruz de Tenerife Tax Enforcement Unit, also announced that they had uncovered a fraudulent gang accused of stealing more than €8.39 million from more than 3,000 holidaymakers in the south of Tenerife early last month.
