Researcher Claims to Have Found Moses' Signature in Egypt

Independent researcher Michael S. Bar-Ron claims to have discovered the Proto-Sinaitic signature of Moses in an ancient Egyptian turquoise mine in the Sinai Peninsula.

Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz. An ancient inscription that, according to Bar-Ron, reads: “This is from Moses.”

Bar-Ron's research, based on high-quality images and 3D scanning, primarily focuses on two groups of inscriptions found at Serabit el-Khadim in the Sinai Peninsula.

These inscriptions, labeled “Sinai 357” and “Sinai 361,” are written in Proto-Sinaitic, a language believed to be the earliest known alphabetic writing in history. In his work, Bar-Ron explains how the Proto-Sinaitic alphabet evolved from Egyptian hieroglyphs, which were then adapted to represent Semitic sounds.
