Adults are struggling to solve ‘impossible’ puzzle designed for kids

Adults have admitted they’re struggling to solve an ‘impossible’ puzzle that’s been designed for kids.

Even the most intelligent adults are being left with a headache by this children’s puzzle.

Regardless of age, puzzles can offer a wealth of benefits. From jigsaw puzzles to crosswords, these brainteasers provide hours of entertainment and also contribute to maintaining a healthy brain.

They enhance cognitive function and can delay the onset of degenerative diseases like dementia.

Puzzles also play a crucial role in children’s brain development. While younger minds typically need simpler games, one hidden object puzzle designed for kids has been labelled “impossible” by some adults.

A parent shared a photo on Reddit of a book featuring two pages filled with random images including playing cards, fish, dinosaurs, and even a surfer. The text beneath the image instructed children to find specific items.

The instructions read: “I spy an eagle, eleven fish with fins, a yellow paperclip, and ten bowling pins; a bright red phone, a pink baby shoe, a spider that’s black and an eight that’s blue.”

However, the parent claimed in the caption that there was “no yellow paperclip”, rendering the puzzle unsolvable. This left their child frustrated and awake past his bedtime after spending over an hour searching for the elusive item.

The brainteaser went viral on social media, as grown-ups scrambled to locate the elusive yellow paperclip. A slew of users speculated alongside the father who shared it; they were convinced the clip was omitted from the display, a printing mishap they surmised.

Nevertheless, for those eagle-eyed puzzle solvers, success was in reach. With keen observation of the Reddit-shared image, the paperclip can indeed be found, as pinpointed by several astute commenters who insisted on its presence amidst the visual chaos.

The paperclip cleverly blends within another item on the page, presenting quite the challenge to detect. To spot the sneaky object, gaze a tad above the textbook content on the left-hand side, near a vibrant red speedboat.

Look closely at the boat’s prow and there lies the sought-after yellow paperclip.

One relieved puzzler exclaimed: “It’s on top of the boat bottom left. Thank God I found it or I’d be the one up late,” with another humorously chiding: “Damn dad, don’t blame the kid. You’re just mad you couldn’t find the yellow paperclip!”
