Harvard Researcher Affirms Existence of Afterlife, Pinpoints Location

The fields of hard science and theology rarely intersect, but a former Harvard physics professor is convinced he has discovered the specific location of Paradise.

Dr Michael Guillen, who possesses a PhD in physics, mathematics, and astronomy and formerly taught physics at Harvard, contends that the cosmos is not only expanding, but the farther an object is, the faster it recedes from us. This is a well-accepted idea, predicated on observations made by the celebrated American astronomer Edwin Hubble.

Leveraging Hubble’s research, Dr Guillen declares: “In theory, a galaxy situated 273 billion trillion (273,000,000,000,000,000,000,000) miles from Earth would be traveling at 186,000 miles per second, equivalent to the speed of light.”

Dr Guillen further clarifies that the position of these incredibly distant, exceptionally rapid objects is termed the Cosmic Horizon. Beyond this point exist further galaxies, yet their light has not yet arrived at Earth, and due to the accelerating growth of the universe, certain regions are receding so quickly that they will remain forever imperceptible.

This signifies an ultimate limit to what astronomers can explore, regardless of any improved telescopes we may develop in future years.

Most standard astronomers assert that there is nothing particularly unique about any potential objects beyond this boundary, other than the fact that we are unable to directly observe them. However, Dr Guillen holds a significantly different viewpoint.

In an opinion piece written for Fox News, Dr Guillen stated: “Our most reliable astronomical observations – coupled with Einstein’s theories of special and general relativity – suggest that time ceases at the Cosmic Horizon. At that particular distance, far out in deep, deep, deep space, there is no past, present, or future. There is only timelessness.”

For Dr Guillen, this zone of “timelessness” located past the borders of our observable cosmos signifies Heaven’s location. He elaborates: “As a scientist, I appreciate the significance of definitions. According to the Bible, the lowest tier of Heaven is Earth’s atmosphere. The intermediate tier of heaven is outer space. The highest tier of heaven is what we are discussing: It’s where God resides.”

Based on his theory, any matter beyond the Cosmic Horizon exhibits unique properties, existing outside normal space-time. Dr Guillen insists these traits correspond precisely with biblical accounts of Heaven from antiquity.

Irrespective of your location on Earth, Heaven remains “up” above, while simultaneously being completely inaccessible to mortal beings. Dr Guillen states, adding that it houses “nonmaterial, timeless beings,” representing deceased souls.

For the bulk of the scientific community, however, the cosmic horizon simply denotes the limit of our visible universe. Considering light’s restricted speed and the universe’s limited age, remote regions haven’t had adequate time to transmit signals to us.

Beyond this limit, the universe may well proceed, yet remains beyond our present observational abilities. The most ancient “light” detectable to us, representing the faintest vestiges of the Big Bang, is now known as the Cosmic Microwave Background – the greatly red-shifted radiation from the Universe’s earliest epoch.

This primeval light possesses considerable importance as it functions as a form of “afterglow” emanating from the Big Bang itself.

The Big Bang Theory informs us that our cosmos originated roughly 13.8 billion years ago from an immensely hot, compacted condition and has been constantly expanding ever since. During those initial instances, temperatures were so extreme that light was unable to travel unhindered; instead, it was continuously deflected by electrically charged particles.

As cosmic expansion continued and temperatures diminished, atoms started forming and light could ultimately move through space uninhibited. This released radiation is what we now perceive as the cosmic background radiation.

Over billions of years, the universe’s expansion has stretched this radiation, diminishing its energy levels until it transformed into microwave frequencies. Currently, it exhibits striking uniformity across the sky, indicating that the nascent universe was exceptionally homogeneous, with only tiny variations.

These subtle variations hold particular significance because they ultimately evolved into the galaxies and galactic clusters we observe currently. The 1965 discovery of the cosmic background radiation delivered powerful backing for the Big Bang Theory and persists as one of its most vital pieces of proof.

In the far future, a growing number of galaxies will disappear from our view. The universe’s growth is accelerating due to dark energy, propelling distant galaxies away at an increasingly faster rate.

Eventually, their light will stop reaching Earth, leaving our local group of galaxies isolated in an otherwise black sky.

Conversely, as Dr Guillen interprets it, this could represent Heaven expanding to accommodate its increasing inhabitants.
