The physician elucidated that his home is situated within extensive land, segments of which he leases to individuals who “know what they’re doing”. Upon taking up residence, he had the property lines skillfully assessed and delineated by a barrier. He also affixed “no trespassing” notices in an endeavor to notify passers-by that they were nearing private land.
His driveway is protracted and remote, accessible from a major thoroughfare. Subsequent to arriving home one afternoon, he noticed three automobiles obstructing his drive, rendering him incapable of reaching his own residence via car.
The entry to his driveway adjoins a public road roughly three-quarters of a mile from his house, compelling the physician to abandon his own automobile and amble almost a mile to arrive at his front entrance. The driveway contains “drainage ditches on each side,” thus preventing him from circumventing or bypassing the offending automobiles.

Following three days, he’d “had it” and resolved to act independently. On Reddit, he articulated: “I drove out to the cars with some wooden cribbing, and a high-lift jack, and jacked the cars up, put cribbing down, and left the cars there, wheels up in the air.

“It took two further days before anyone showed up. Eight individuals arrived, irate because their automobiles had been essentially booted. They were particularly displeased when I informed them they owed me for parking and damage inflicted upon the road due to their obstruction.”
The drivers grew even angrier when the physician requested reimbursement for parking fees and the impairment they’d inflicted upon his driveway. Despite their avowal that they were oblivious to trespassing, they were rebuffed, as law enforcement had already been apprised of the matter and corroborated the physician’s account.
A month thereafter, the physician discovered himself confronted with judicial proceedings from the drivers, but he initiated a counterclaim and prevailed. The magistrate decreed that the drivers must disburse funds for resurfacing the road, along with settling storage costs and punitive redress.
The physician recounted: “It took a year, but I got the payment from the third hiker last week. I decided that the money will go to help pay for my annual summer BBQ for the county’s emergency responders.”
