‘I ruined an entitled parker’s weekend’

Online users cheered as this homeowner took their revenge against an “entitled driver” and taught them a lesson.

One homeowner’s story of the “petty revenge” they took on a woman who parked in their driveway has left online users giggling.

Sharing their story on the forum website Reddit, they said that the plot was devised after a selfish driver blocked their driveway, which they discovered after coming home from work.

They wrote: “Friday night I came home from work to find someone on our block was having a large party and someone decided they were entitled to park in my driveway.

“Keep in mind my driveway is a single car width lined with a retaining wall on both sides and a garage at the end. Essentially impossible for a tow truck to come to pull them out without property damage.”

Clearly, a clever form of revenge was the only option!

The homeowner explained that there was limited parking available for them on the street, and said: “Seeing this and the lack of street parking I took this as a cue to park right behind them in my driveway.”

Predictably, the so-called “entitled driver” encroaching on the homeowner’s property, was unhappy.

A few hours later, she knocked on the door “demanding” that the homeowner unblock her car from the driveway. In a genius act of petty revenge, they said no.

“Seeing as they were demanding, I informed them that I had been drinking and would not move my car.”

In a fit of rage, the driver tried to involve the police. Cleverly, the homeowner gave the same response to them, telling them that they couldn’t move the car due to alcohol consumption. They wrote: “When the police knocked on my door, I was sure to grab a beer from the fridge before I answered to talk to the officer.

“I had informed him that after I got home I was unwinding and had been drinking and was in no shape to drive. At this point their hands were tied because they couldn’t tow her car out, I’m in no shape to drive, and I’m legally parked in my driveway.”

Deciding this was not punishment enough for the so-called “Entitled Parker”, the poster then said: “I ended up telling the Entitled Parker that since it is a long weekend I would be on a weekend-long bender and they could come move my car after I go to work on Tuesday.”

The story prompted some hilarious comments from Reddit users, all broadly supportive of this man’s actions.

One wrote: “the absolute f****** entitled audacity to park in someone elses driveway without permission.” They continued: “I would have taken Uber to work on Tuesday just as an extra f*** you.”

Another such reply joked: “Chef’s kiss. Please put a patio chair next to her car and sit out there drinking.”
