LIFE after death is real, according to a woman who astonishingly claims to have entered another dimension where she saw bright lights and her dead father.

Although there is no scientific evidence to prove life after death is real, there are many people who claim to have had profound experiences in the afterlife. Many of these experiences, such as visions of bright lights and voices, occur during so-called near-death experiences or NDEs. One woman who only gave her name as Linda, claims to have left her body for another dimension after suffering a stroke in 2016.

Linda told the Near-Death Experience Research Foundation (NDERF) she felt “free, light, and so very lived” on the other side.

She said: “One minute I was talking to my husband and then next minute, I was in another dimension.

“I was surrounded by incredibly bright light that was loving and welcoming.

“Inside the light was my deceased dad, who looked younger than he did before he transitioned. He had a big smile on his face.”

According to the woman’s bizarre account, she could not approach her father but was happy to see him.

She then said she could feel the warm light and it was “aware and conscious”.

Linda said: “When I looked down, my body was light beams. I was wearing a gown of light.

“Although I had all my worldly senses, I had no physical body.

“My dad had a physical body though. I assume that is so I could recognise him.

“I was told telepathically that I had to go back and complete my mission.”

The next thing Linda knew, she was in an emergency room with people staring at her.

She said she no longer felt the warm light she emerged from.

Despite being alive, Linda said she was disappointed because of the overwhelming love and happiness she felt on the other side.

She said: “I will never forget that experience.

“It took me a while to acclimatize back into this dimension. My body felt heavy and dense.

However, many scientists do not believe the sights and sounds experienced during NDEs are genuine or supernatural.

NDEs typically occur during cardiac arrest when the brain still shows signs of activity.

According to Dr Sam Parnia, from NYU Langone School of Medicine in New York City, the visions could be a sign of the brain scanning itself during a moment of trauma.

He said: “People describe a sensation of a bright, warm, welcoming light that draws people towards it.

“They describe a sensation of experiencing their deceased relatives, almost as if they have come to welcome them.

“They often say that they didn’t want to come back in many cases, it is so comfortable and it is like a magnet that draws them that they don’t want to come back.

“A lot of people describe a sensation of separating from themselves and watching doctors and nurses working on them.”

According to the NHS, NDEs do not constitute death.
