Following residence in a dwelling for a number of years, it’s natural to believe you’re familiar with practically every aspect of the structure.
Nevertheless, one man was completely startled after discovering a “collection of passageways and chambers” beneath his abode, prompting him to reconsider his understanding of his property.

In a Reddit publication, he displayed photographs of the subterranean tunnel arrangement and the unsettling spaces they led to – expressing: “There are numerous dirty coverings, possibly with blood. The tunnels extend quite far, perhaps five areas? Certain areas include electricity, while others feature flowing water.”
After dedicating a period of time to explore the space, he detailed how it became difficult to inhale given the mildew and stagnant water accumulated over time.
He further noted: “There’s a significant amount of mould. I recorded a musical performance down there for an hour and I believe my airways haven’t been identical since. If I’m the starting point for the subsequent epidemic let it be recognised I apologise.”

However, since the areas are “heavily soiled and moist”, he doubts he’ll utilise the additional space as it would be too costly to convert it into something valuable.
An additional person stated: “Interesting. Looks like you’ve uncovered the prior coal storage area. Attention has been given to this area as demonstrated in the last image.
“There is illumination, and the ceiling has been fortified. I can also determine that your residence previously utilised hydronic heating with floor positioned radiators but has since switched to another method of heat (forced air heat pump or a similar system?).
“The last image depicts insulation encompassing the pipes which does not appear to be fiberglass. It’s challenging to determine what material it is.
“It does not resemble asbestos to me given its resemblance to a cloth covering but precaution should still be exercised when around it.”
