Man’s life ‘changes overnight’ after finding ‘creepy’ doll under house

Kerry Walton found a ‘creepy’ doll, which he named Letta Me Out, under an abandoned house in Australia – and his entire life changed after making the discovery.

A man was left ‘terrified’ after digging up a ‘creepy’ antique doll under an old house – but it ended up bringing him good luck. Queensland man Kerry Walton encountered the bizarre doll while he was in Warwick and believes it had been hidden for close to two centuries.

He whimsically named the doll ‘Letta Me Out’ after discovering its roots can be traced back to European travellers. Kerry has since shared his belief that community may have used this doll for fortune-telling pursuits, although this has not been confirmed.

Reminiscing about the eerie experience in 2002, he revealed: “It frightened me. It put the wind right up me. After I settled down a bit and realised what it was, I thought ‘This is a nice find’.”

Yet despite its hair-raising look, which has caused quite the debate on social media lately, the peculiar object has apparently only ushered in a series of lucky events for Kerry. Following its viral status, a Reddit snapshot featuring Letta Me Out perched on a chair, flaunting its pronounced facial features and sinister grin, provoked a shower of reactions.

One unnerved netizen remarked: “Should have left it there. People need to realise you don’t have to take random stuff home.”

Echoing the sentiment, another user quipped: “I would not have Letta it into my house.” A third commentator chimed in with superstitious wariness: “It was left there for a reason. I don’t even want to leave this comment.”

One more user added: “Are you being haunted now?” However, since welcoming Letta Me Out into his home, Kerry’s antique collection has skyrocketed in price. He cashed in on this and went on to buy a house on a luxury estate on the outskirts of Brisbane.

Kerry added: “We were broke all the time, no money at all. Then he [the doll] turned up and things started to change.” Following this, Kerry made the doll an honorary family member, vowing to never sell him. He has since created the doll an Instagram page where he posts updates about the impact it has had on his life.

However, unconvinced by the doll’s good luck, another Reddit user said: “So, when does filming start for the horror movie?” One more added: “I’ve seen this movie. Something’s are better left alone…” A third user said: “I would punch it and burn it and dance around it while it melts.”
