Mysterious Hill in Sudan That Looks Like 'Land Lips' – Earth from Space

This fascinating satellite image taken by Google Earth in 2012 shows an unusual hilly formation in Sudan that looks strikingly like pursed human lips blowing a kiss into space.

Not much is known about this strange structure, but experts shared with Live Science their guesses about how it might have formed.

The impressive hill, approximately 3,000 feet (900 meters) long and 1,200 feet (350 meters) wide at its widest point, is located in the West Darfur state of Sudan, approximately 60 miles (95 km) east of the border with Chad.
