Nude sunbather’s fury after ‘entitled’ mum’s cover up demand

A man has asked for advice after a woman asked him to cover up at a nudist site as her kids were due to arrive. People are split on whether he was in the wrong

A man has ignited a fiery debate after sharing an encounter with a mother and her children near a hot spring that permits nudity.

Recounting the incident on social media, he revealed (amongst other things) that he lives close to a popular hot spring where nudity is officially allowed. However, one mum at the scene was less than happy with his lack of clothing.

And she demanded that the man cover up before her children arrived. However, he refused – and admits he was so angry with her that he told her to “f*** off”.

He posted on Reddit: “It’s an hour drive away from my home. It’s on public land and a relatively well-known hot spot. There are signs up warning prudes who have complained for years that, yes, people are allowed to be nude there.”

He further explained: “I’ve been going there about once a week recently, and every time I get nude. I like to go Sunday mornings because it’s mostly empty.

“Last Sunday, I arrived and stripped down as normal. There was a woman there who was using the springs as well and I chatted with her a bit. After about 20 minutes another woman arrived and came over to talk to me.”

The man detailed how she informed him that her three children were nearby and would soon be joining them at the hot springs, reports the Mirror. He noted that he could see them approaching the site, appearing to be between the ages of 12 and six.

The man, who was naked, continued: “I was really confused because there was plenty of room still so I told her very confused ‘Ok? ‘. She was trying to ‘subtly’ tell me what she really wanted, but had to spell it out for me. She then asked me to ‘get decent’.”

“I was just taken aback at first and told her no, I wasn’t done using the spring yet and I only had the clothes I was going to wear back home. She then told, not asked, me to leave so her kids could use the spring.”

The man admitted that her demanding tone irked him, leading to a heated exchange where he bluntly told her to “f*** off”. He continued: “She ended up storming off. The lady who was in the spring when I arrived got out and told me I’m an a******, so I called her a b****.”

“I left about 20 minutes later and saw that the woman and her kids walked back to their car. I waved at her and said to enjoy the hot springs and she flipped me off. While I was really angry in the moment, I’m starting to feel like I got dragged down to her level and made an a** out of myself. Opinions? “.

Opinions on the Reddit post were divided, with many sympathising with the man’s frustration at being expected to alter his plans for someone else’s children. One commenter staunchly defended him, stating: “If you don’t want your kids to see a flaccid penis at a nude hot spring there’s a very simple fix… Don’t go to a nude hot spring.”

Another user slammed: “She knowingly brought her kids in to an environment where they could have been exposed to nudity. What would she have done if there were 20 folks there in the buff? Fought them all? It’s her own negligent poor parenting that put her children in that situation. She clearly expects the world to revolve around them, and that’s entitled as f***. I’ll bet they all get participation trophies too.”

However, many felt that, while agreeing with his stance, his delivery left much to be desired, with one replying: “While your initial frustration was understandable, responding with anger and hostility likely exacerbated the conflict. Reflecting on the situation and considering alternative ways to handle similar incidents in the future can help maintain a positive experience for all visitors to the hot spring.”
