Dishwashers were designed to launder common items, such as dinnerware and silverware, but amazingly, some unexpected objects can also be sanitised in them. Certain things, like wood spoons, chopping blocks, and insulated cups or water flasks should never be put inside because of potential damage, but a TikTok user has revealed some unusual items that can undergo cleaning.

The cleaning and domestic guru, posting under the username @anna_louisa_at_home, shared a brief video showing seven objects suitable for the appliance. These included cleaning cloths, plastic children’s playthings, silicone cellphone protectors, vases, and even cooker hood filters.
