So when one woman came across her childhood folder filled with old Pokemon cards, she soon took them to Deep Dive Games Athens for an appraisal, hoping to find any hidden treasures in her collection.

The slot machine dealers immediately recognized the value of what they were seeing and quickly began filming themselves going through her card folder, admiring the contents.

“A customer brought in a folder he found in a warehouse. Asked if it was worth anything…” read the caption of a TikTok video showing the customer flipping through a folder of cards.

“I need to send this to my Pokémon Discord channel so they can just lose their ever-loving minds,” one store employee noted.

The woman replied, “I didn't expect it. I thought maybe a couple hundred dollars.”

The seller went on to explain that many of the cards he had already spotted could sell for between £36 and £73 each. Furthermore, their value would increase considerably if they were in pristine condition, which the cards in the binder appeared to be.

Her collection also includes a first edition Charizard, which, according to eBay, has previously sold at auction for more than £221,036. However, because the card was in German, this may affect its value.

The collection also includes several Shiny cards, as well as Legendary cards such as the Lugia Crystal and the first edition Gyarados card.

The woman kindly offered to give the sellers one of the cards if they found anything interesting, but they politely declined given the huge value of the goods. They also explained that some of the cards could easily be valued at between £220 and £368 each.

Game console retailers weren't the only ones impressed by the collection, with many viewers expressing their surprise in the comments.

One user noted, “A solid $100,000.” To which the company confirmed, “Possibly $100,000.”

“Now the pension thing is sorted out, lol,” wrote another viewer, while someone else added: “Oh my God, she's sitting on tens of thousands.”

Meanwhile, another commentator praised the company for conducting such an honest assessment.

They added: “This is crazy. She seems like a really nice and kind person. I'm glad she came to you and didn't fall for some scammer.”
