A woman has taken to social media to share her mother's “spectacular” revenge on a driver with a parking licence who kept taking up her paid-for space.
Users praised her for her petty retaliation against an “entitled” driver who kept stealing the parking space she had paid for. Writing on behalf of her mother, the woman described how her mother lived in a small apartment near the university when she was in her early 20s.
Since finding a parking space became a daily problem for her, she made an arrangement with the landlord to rent a space right next to her house.
He happily agreed and put up a license plate in front of the space so other drivers would know it was occupied.
On Reddit, she added: “Everything was fine for a while and my mom was happy with her space until one day some idiot parked a car on her property.”
“She let it go on for a few days, hoping he would eventually leave, but after a few evenings spent looking for a parking space, she decided it had to stop.

“She contacted her landlord and told him about the problem. Unfortunately, he said that he was not responsible for the actual availability of the spaces, and therefore could not do anything about it (although my mother assumed that he simply did not care, as long as he got his money). He advised her that if she wanted to do something, the only thing she could do was tow the incompetent guy's car.”
However, this would leave her mother out of pocket, as she would have to pay for the towing until the driver took responsibility. Instead, she devised a plan to teach him a lesson while keeping her funds safe.

She added: “My mum decided she couldn't let this go on, so she called her then boyfriend and two of his friends to help her with a plan. The next time the clumsy guy parked his car in my mum's spot, they all went down to the car park and made sure no one was around. Then they started lifting and moving the car, doing a jiggling and bouncing motion, lifting it on the count of three, moving it just a few inches at a time.
“After a few hours of this, they were able to move the dumb guy's car into the center of the parking lot (not in anyone's spot, just in a small driveway). Later that day, my mom saw a cop give the guy a ticket, which wasn't much, but that dumb guy never parked in my mom's spot again, damn it.”
In the comments section of her post, one user wrote: “I'm impressed that your group was able to lift this vehicle. The small cars aren't that heavy, but they're still vehicles that weigh over a ton.” Another user added: “It's funny that the owner said they can't guarantee seats. Isn't that the point of paying for a reserved seat?”
