SpaceX achieved a noteworthy accomplishment Tuesday following the deployment of numerous fresh Starlink satellites into space during its 130th liftoff this year.
SpaceX, owned by Elon Musk, also noted that its reliable Falcon 9 rocket executed its 126th mission of 2025 as the Starlink 10-59 endeavor commenced in the predawn hours.
This mission contributes an additional 28 satellites to the expanding megaconstellation, now comprising over 8,500 Starlink units orbiting in low Earth orbit, with the aim of broadening worldwide broadband Internet availability.
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 commenced its flight at 2:46 a.m. EDT from Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida, subsequent to consistent daily weather disturbances over the Atlantic Ocean and interior Florida, which hampered launch attempts throughout the prior week.
Its initial phase landed according to schedule, fewer than nine minutes afterward, in the Atlantic Ocean aboard SpaceX’s A Shortfall of Gravitas autonomous vessel.
Simultaneously, it marked the eighth flight and touchdown for the assigned B1090 booster.
