The HP Omen 16 is undoubtedly a gaming laptop. Its design and display quality are aimed at hardcore gamers, and the multi-color keyboard clearly underlines this. We are looking at the 2023 version with an AMD Ryzen 7 processor and Nvidia GeForce RTX 4060 GPU – this configuration is only available in Europe. US buyers will only have access to Intel options for the 16-inch models.

With a new Omen 16 unveiled at CES 2025 — the Omen Max 16 — the old model is now on sale at a reduced price, dropping from $1,600 to a more affordable $1,170. Still, despite the price cut, we're curious to see how good this laptop is.
