NASA plans to launch its TOMEX+ probe to study Earth's atmosphere again on Tuesday.

According to the agency, if the weather is clear, residents of the Mid-Atlantic states of the United States will be able to watch the mission in the evening – this will be a repeat launch attempt.

Live streaming from the launch pad will be available from 10:30 p.m. ET until 3:30 a.m. the following morning.

Earlier Wednesday, NASA unveiled details of its TOMEX+ program, which aims to study atmospheric disturbances in the transition zone between Earth's atmosphere and outer space.

Previous launch attempts have been made before, including preparations on the same Tuesday.

Sounding rockets have the ability to reach the mesopause, a layer of the atmosphere inaccessible to weather balloons and most orbital satellites.
