Rocket and space technology company SpaceX on Tuesday suspended the launch of 27 Starlink communications satellites into low Earth orbit from California.

The mission, dubbed Starlink 11-13, is now scheduled to launch on a Falcon 9 from Vandenberg Space Base in Santa Barbara County at 3:54 p.m. PT Thursday. Other launch options will be available Friday if needed.

SpaceX announced the mission was canceled on Tuesday, without providing an explanation for the delay.

This will be the fifth flight of the booster's first stage, which previously launched NROL-126, Transporter-12, SPHEREx, and NROL-57. Following stage separation, the Falcon 9 will land on the “Of Course I Still Love You” drone in the Pacific Ocean.

SpaceX has already successfully launched Starlink this week, launching 28 satellites into orbit from Florida on Monday. The launch can be watched live via the company's X account.

Residents in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties on the West Coast were warned that they could hear one or more sonic booms during Thursday's liftoff, depending on weather conditions and other factors.

Also on Monday evening, SpaceX launched Fram2, the first crewed mission to orbit the Earth's North and South Poles, from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The historic launch includes four civilians from different countries, and the mission will last through the end of the week.
