SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket Sunday evening, carrying nearly two dozen Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit from the east coast of Florida.

The launch took place at 10:09 p.m. ET from Pad 40 at the famed Cape Canaveral Air Force Station.

The mission's goal is to launch 23 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit, including 13 with direct-to-cellular capabilities, which will join a constellation of thousands of satellites delivering high-speed, low-latency internet around the world.

The first stage of the launch vehicle successfully completed its 20th flight and landed on the unmanned ship Just Read the Instructions, which was waiting for its return in the Atlantic Ocean several minutes after liftoff.

The mission follows SpaceX's launch of 28 V2 Starlink mini-satellites on Thursday evening, marking the 475th launch of the Falcon 9 rocket.
