SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from the East Coast on Tuesday morning carrying a batch of Starlink satellites.

The launch took place at 12:43 p.m. ET from Pad 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida.

The mission was to launch a constellation of 23 Starlink satellites, 13 of which have direct cellular connectivity, into low Earth orbit. They will join a growing constellation of thousands of orbiting stations that collectively provide high-speed, low-latency internet around the world.

The first stage of the launch vehicle, which completed its 21st flight, successfully landed on the unmanned ship Just Read the Instructions, which was waiting for it in the Atlantic Ocean.
