Spotify's annual Wrapped update has just been confirmed, and here's how to get it.
It’s that time of year again. Music enthusiasts around the world have been waiting for the announcement of Spotify Wrapped, and the release is now official. That means you can open the popular music app and review your listening habits for the past year, then share the results with friends or post them on social media.
This is a very popular event, but to participate you will need to make sure you have the latest version of the app installed on your iPhone or Android device.
To check, simply go to the Apple App Store on iOS or the Google Play Store on Android and search for Spotify. You'll then be able to see if an update is needed.

For those unfamiliar, Spotify Wrapped offers an interactive overview of the last 11 months. You'll get a detailed analysis of your most-listened-to artists and tracks, which you can then share directly to X, Instagram, or TikTok.
This year, there was also a new personalized podcast on this topic.
“From showing users how their music preferences have changed throughout the year to delivering Wrapped results through a new personalized podcast, Spotify Wrapped 2024 gives fans even more ways to enjoy the music they love,” Spotify said in a press release.
“Your preferences and mood change throughout the year, and so does the music you listen to. This new data story reveals the musical phases that have undoubtedly defined your year. Users will be able to see up to three musical phases with descriptions, genres, and artists.

As in 2023, some artists have also recorded special thank you videos for their fans. Spotify will show you if you're among the top listeners of these artists around the world. Among those taking part are Billie Eilish, Usher, and Sabrina Carpenter.
While Wrapped is a surprisingly personal experience for every Spotify customer, Spotify has also revealed the most-streamed artists, songs, and albums this year in the UK.
