Video blogger expresses dissatisfaction with expensive coffee: “The taste reminds me of some kind of fruit”
A London-based content creator was left shocked by his wallet but did not hand over his money after he purchased a cup of coffee that cost approximately $340.
A UK blogger spent £265 (which is roughly $340) on a single cup of coffee and then shared his honest impressions about it on social media.
According to news agency SWNS, 26-year-old Carmi Sellitto was in London when he stumbled upon an upmarket coffee shop.
Sellitto was expecting to enjoy an expensive coffee, but was shocked to see Japan Typica Natural coffee on the menu for a staggering £265, which works out to around $343.
The drink, made from Typica beans – a Japanese Arabica variety – is thought to be one of the most expensive coffee offerings in the UK, SWNS reports.
Sellitto still ordered the drink, despite its high cost.

He said he ended up unable to tell the difference between his expensive drink and the iced latte his friend ordered for £4 ($5.18).
“The waiter even joked and said, 'Be careful not to mix them up,' and started laughing,” Sellitto told Fox News Digital.
“It really surprised me because I thought, ‘Imagine what would happen if I accidentally drank the wrong wine.’”
Sellitto said he “got goosebumps” when he started drinking the drink.
“I can't work out whether it was because the coffee was actually that good or just because I'd just spent £265 on it,” he told Fox News Digital.

In his video review, Sellitto criticized the coffee.
“It doesn't even taste like coffee,” he noted.
“It tasted like some kind of fruit.”
Sellitto said that when he finished drinking, he was “really disappointed” by everything he saw.
“It tasted like some kind of fruit.”
“As the ice started to melt, the drink became more and more watery, and by the end it wasn't as rich as it was at the beginning,” Sellitto told Fox News Digital.
“It spoiled the experience a little bit.”

In the end, he rated the drink a five out of ten.
In an interview with SWNS, he said he would “not buy it again.”
“To be honest, I think I can make better coffee,” he concluded.
