Security camera recordings from the town of Saryagash reveal the driver hurtling into the largely deserted plaza in the wee hours and executing tight spinning maneuvers, frequently called donuts, in a Russian-built Lada sedan.
As the driver attempted to execute a subsequent spin, the vehicle swerved more broadly than previously and steered straight toward a 40-foot Christmas tree situated in the heart of the plaza.
The automobile surged onward and crashed into the adorned tree, sending it plummeting to the ground while lights scattered across the pavement. The impact crushed the illuminated festive spectacle almost instantaneously.

The motorist sped off, abandoning the uprooted tree lying prone in the square.
According to The Sun, eyewitnesses conveyed that the vehicle’s tires shrieked as the driver circled the plaza, nearly missing street furniture and holiday embellishments in the moments preceding the collision.

The Sun also noted that Saryagash District Police communicated in a declaration that they received a report around 3 a.m. that an unidentified motorist had crashed into the main Christmas tree erected in the central square and then fled.
“Officers meticulously studied the recordings from the vicinity utilizing security cameras,” police stated in the declaration. “Consequently, the identity of the perpetrator was determined.”

Police later verified the driver was at the helm of a VAZ-2105 Lada.
Detectives located him subsequent to reviewing the surveillance footage, and his vehicle was then seized, according to the report.

Authorities announced the driver was assessed a penalty for reckless operation of a vehicle. In an atypical result, law enforcement also directed him to repair the damage he inflicted on the holiday presentation.
“The youthful driver mended the wrecked tree and pledged not to perpetuate analogous offenses subsequently,” police stated.
