A temporary educator in Lake County, Florida, required restraint and escort from a Lake Minneola High School classroom on Monday due to “erratic behavior” during the lesson, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.
The school’s security officer responded to an alert around 10:20 a.m. and found the substitute teacher, Angela Faith Jourdan, vocalizing incoherently and suggesting she “should be imprisoned for life,” as reported by News 6.

The substitute reportedly deviated entirely from the day’s curriculum. Instead, investigators stated she was striking her hands on a desk and making inappropriate remarks to the students.
However, that wasn’t the extent of her alleged actions while entrusted with educating young minds. Deputies reported she was “twerking” in the classroom and self-identifying as a “million dollar prostitute.”
This is where further inappropriate statements come into play. She purportedly told students she would engage in sexual activity with them. Once again, I can assert with certainty, none of this was part of the lesson plan for Monday morning.
As if this weren’t enough of a disruption to the usual morning proceedings at the high school, the substitute, who will hardly be a candidate for any teaching awards soon, refused to depart the classroom voluntarily.
The LCSO’s report indicates, “Assistant Principal Pannett entered and instructed Ms. Jourdan to collect her belongings and exit the classroom. Ms. Jourdan declined, stating she did not wish to be subjected to a Taser.”
Jourdan was subdued and escorted to the office while investigators received a report from a student alleging battery. The student claimed she was shouted at, called a derogatory term, and had the teacher’s hands on her neck.
I cannot emphasize this enough: that, too, was not included in the day’s lesson plan.
Jourdan was apprehended and dismissed by Lake County Schools. She faces charges for disorderly conduct, simple battery, and two counts of disrupting a school function, all considered misdemeanors.
