A man from Memphis is accused of biting a baby on the face and running through several locations, asserting that his family was attempting to harm him, as per a Tennessee affidavit.

Jerry L. Stark, 34, faces a charge of domestic assault stemming from the early May 1 incident. The events spanned multiple locations before concluding at a restaurant on North Hollywood Street, law enforcement stated.

An affidavit acquired by Fox News Digital indicates that officers responded to a call at Memphis Wings shortly before 1 a.m. There, they discovered Stark inside the establishment, shouting and in a state of panic while holding the infant.

Onlookers informed the police that Stark had been seen running through the vicinity with the infant, seeking assistance and at times yelling that his family intended to kill him.

Prior to his arrival at the restaurant, Stark was observed at several nearby places, including two service stations. Witnesses there stated he was carrying the infant and exhibiting erratic behavior. He then proceeded south on North Hollywood Street towards the restaurant, still holding the child.

Inside the business, witnesses reported that Stark lay down on the kitchen floor with the infant, continuing to call for help. Several individuals intervened upon noticing the infant seemed to be in distress, telling police the baby was being squeezed and was starting to turn blue.

One witness recounted that when questioned about the situation, Stark stated, “My family is trying to kill me.”

Jail records indicate Stark is being held without bail as it has not yet been determined. His court appearance is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday.
