Ohio boy rescued after crawling into toy

CCTV captured the moment the boy got stuck in the slot machine, but he later decided to get out on his own.

A young Ohio man found himself in a frightening situation this week when he climbed into a toy machine at a suburban community center and became trapped.

Rescue workers were needed to extract him.

The incident happened Monday at the Mason Community Center, located about 25 miles northeast of Cincinnati.

CCTV footage shows the boy approaching the machine, opening the prize tray and crawling in head first. He is soon engulfed in stuffed animals and becomes completely stuck.

In the video footage taken in Mason, bystanders quickly noticed the boy's predicament and alerted officers.

Workers unplugged the machine and moved it to a nearby store. Rescuers arrived shortly after and pulled the child out of the back of the machine.

The child did not appear to have suffered any injuries. It is not known whether he managed to keep the toy.

Police said no charges were filed and the gun was not damaged, PEOPLE and ABC News reported.

Fox News Digital was unable to reach the Mason Police Department for comment.
