A TikTok user has gone viral after claiming he received a two-star review from online guests because his rental home was deemed “unsuitable for people of large size.”
In a video that has received more than 20,000 likes and numerous comments, the host shared complaints that guests allegedly made to him after their stay.
“I guess they were quite large and my house wasn't quite big enough for them,” the host said.
According to him, the guests claimed that they could not get through the doorway, to which the owner replied: “I have standard doorways.”
He also reported that guests said that “some of the furniture looked, to put it mildly, unreliable, and we were afraid of breaking it.”

“And then they said, 'I noticed your egg chair on the patio has a weight limit of 330 pounds.' That's the manufacturer that sets [that], not me, and that's for one person,” the host added.
“And then they said, 'Unfortunately, none of us can use this.'”
The TikToker host reported that Airbnb guests commented that his bed was so soft that they felt like they would both fall through the middle when they were on it.
“I would say this house is not right for you,” the host added in response.
The presenter concluded that for him it was “not a learning lesson” but “hopefully [it was] just for them.”

Airbnb's website lists a variety of accessibility features that hosts can add to their listings.
Some additional features that may be important to larger guests may include the width of the home.
The list includes the phrases “guest entrance wider than 32 inches” and “room entrance wider than 32 inches.”
TikTokers took to the comments section to express their opinions on the matter.
“As a plus-size person, I can't imagine having that right,” one woman wrote. “It's not anyone's job, it's mine to make sure this is a place where I feel comfortable.”
One user asked: “If they couldn't fit through the doorway, how did they know about the other things?”

“Thank you for handling this professionally. Unfortunately, licenses come in different sizes,” one woman said.
Another user wrote: “I'm plus size. This level of privilege is insane. I always check the weight limits.”
Another wrote: “I read bad reviews for this very reason. Sometimes the problems have nothing to do with me.”
Another TikToker wrote: “I think you need really sturdy furniture if you're going to [do] this. I think hotels use furniture like this.”
