A stunning video shows scores of transgender rights activists protesting a New York City Board of Education meeting recently by silently dancing to the Macarena.

The meeting, hosted by Community Education Council District 2 (CEC 2), took place on February 26. A YouTube broadcast of the meeting shows protesters quietly performing the iconic '90s dance, some out of sync with others.

The dance began when one of the participants, Jo Vitale, took the microphone to express support for Resolution 248, an initiative passed last year that aims to study the effects of biological males competing against women.

Council members appeared to be holding back smiles as activists danced quietly in the background as Vitale spoke.

“I’m here to support H.R. 48,” the New Yorker said. “And let’s be clear about what H.R. 248 is. It will examine the implications of biological males competing against biological females in sports.”

“Research,” she stressed. “And that's what all these people are against, research… they're just showing off their virtue signaling and they're child tyrants. So let's not pander to these child tyrants.”

CEC District 2 “operates public elementary and middle schools in NYC Community School District 2,” according to their Facebook page. Their schools are located in the Lower East Side, Hell’s Kitchen, Chinatown, and other areas of the Big Apple.

Fox News Digital reached out to CEC 2 but has not yet received a response.

CEC 2 Vice President Leonard Silverman told the New York Post that he “appreciates their support, but this is completely inappropriate.”

“But they still keep coming, and it's really disruptive because it discourages other parents from discussing other educational issues,” he said.
