However, it is impossible to say that there are no blank spots left on Earth today. It is enough to pay attention to the relatively small Dogon tribe, which lives in the African state of Mali. This tribe is so mysterious that it is studied not only by numerous world-famous ethnographers, but also by astronomers. Even ufologists often visit Dogon settlements to conduct their observations of the lives of these strange people. What is so mysterious about the Dogon?
The whole point is that all Dogon rituals and the system of measuring time intervals are connected not with the celestial bodies used by other peoples of the Earth (the Sun and the Moon, if it can be called a luminary), but with the Sirius system. At the same time, the Dogon chose not Sirius itself as the main star, but the star Sirius B, which was discovered only in the middle of the 19th century. Even the formation of Dogon dwellings is associated with the 50-year cycle of Sirius B, which is impossible to detect without the use of astronomical devices. Many are sure that this is just a coincidence, but the Dogon themselves refute this idea, revealing their culture.
In addition to using Sirius B for their ritual ceremonies, construction and chronology, the Dogon also use the system of Jupiter's satellites for religious worship. How did the Dogon learn about Jupiter's satellites and Sirius B, since they are not visible to the naked eye, and the people do not have the means for astronomical observations. Moreover, the star Sirius B exploded in the second half of the 2nd century AD… Do the Dogon really have such a long history as to pass on this event from generation to generation? Scientists hypothesize that the Dogon tribe simply adopted the cult of Sirius from another civilization. And this civilization cannot be the Egyptians, since by the 2nd century AD the ancient Egyptian civilization had completely collapsed, and therefore could not know anything about the explosion of Sirius B.
In this regard, the idea arises that the Dogon tribe either contacted a civilization that itself disappeared, or this knowledge was obtained by them through astral communication with aliens from space. A supporter of the cosmic idea of the sacred knowledge of the Dogon is the American astronomer Carl Sagan.
However, the alien version hardly has a right to exist, since there are too many shortcomings and mistakes in the use of information about Sirius B by the Dogon. And not everything is so smooth with the satellites of Jupiter. If the Dogon had contact with aliens, then why did they tell the Africans only about 4 satellites of Jupiter, and not about the rest.
It turns out that modern Dogon may be descendants of earthlings who possessed truly serious astronomical knowledge, but at the same time were precisely earthlings, and not guests from the depths of distant space.
