SpaceX's Starship rocket has exploded again, adding to the company's growing list of failures.

The rocket's upper stage, the largest ever built, was undergoing routine testing in preparation for its 10th test flight at SpaceX's South Texas launch site on Wednesday evening (June 18) when it “suffered a catastrophic failure and exploded,” local authorities said on Facebook.

The huge fireball was another problem for the rocket's upper stages. The craft exploded mid-flight during two previous tests in January and March and broke apart during an earlier-than-planned return in May.
