This year the May Aquarids last from April 19 to May 28.

The peak of activity is predicted today at 6 am Moscow time.

Up to 40 meteors per hour are expected, the Moscow Planetarium noted.

Meteors can be seen with the naked eye. The best time to observe them is from 02:00 until dawn.

You need to look at the southeastern horizon, namely at the area of the sky between the horizon and the Summer Triangle asterism.

The radiant is located below and to the left (east) of the star Altair.

The planetarium added that this year the conditions for observing the Eta Aquarids are not very favorable: the Moon, which is approaching full moon, will interfere.
