A four-year-old girl died after being raped and brutally beaten by a 27-year-old man, it is claimed.
Police in Colombia are investigating the death of tragic Salome Segura Vega, who died in hospital on Saturday.
The sickening attack happened in Huila, in the south west of the country, after she vanished while she was playing with friends on July 29.
Prosecutors claim Sebastian Mieles Betin left her with brain trauma and multiple organ injuries when he sexually assaulted her.
Betin, who works for the young girl's parents, is accused of sexual abuse and homicide, which he denies.

The fatally-injured little girl was found unconscious in woodland by her parents and neighbours, El Universal reports.
Betin was found just a few metres from the semi-naked victim, and furious locals attempted to kill him in the aftermath of the attack, it is claimed.
Luis Enrique Dussan Lopez, the governor of Huila, called for the attacker to be given a "severe sentence", saying: "What happened with the girl in the municipality of Garzon cannot happen again.

And Claudia Maya, who heads the office of Childhood and Adolescence in Huila, told local media that the murderer must be sentenced and go to jail.
She said the government would provide full support to the victim's family.
Betin reportedly said he has a daughter of the same age, and said he had nothing to do with the young girl's killing.
